The Magical Mist Lavender Water

Lavender water has so many benefits, it is used in toners and skincare products for its refreshing and relaxing scent ,also for its properties like antimicrobial, lavender water helps healing wounds combats blemishes, prevents skin cancer it is useful remedy for burns, soothes bees stings. Ancient rome people used lavender water as bath soaks for its goodness like relaxing benefits and making the bath water germs free,lavender water calms and soothes the skin .It is excellent antioxidant plus regular use of lavender can delay skin ageing,good for the people who are having skin infection and  acne.It can be used as skin tonic.If we can make lavender water by ourself that would be great for our routine skincare and homecare. The reason why i haved added homecare is lavender water can be used as disinfectant and room spray air freshner.

Air purifier :

In my aromatheraphy course i learned this tip , to create instant refreshing smell in a room /during spa for the rich warm feeling , take a cotton ball add few drops of lavender essential oil ,in a mini bowl put the cotton ball(you can keep that in a dry bowl or else add water and mix few drops of lavender E.O) ,close the room for sometime , this smell will blend in air, it can completely freshen up air from that day this essentil oil turned as my favourite one . 

Does it helps for beautiful skin ?

Yes it does, for making the lavender mist here is the procedure

Skin toner/refreshing toner/facial toner

1. You can use dry flowers /fresh flowers 
2. 2 oz distilled water (to boil the flowers )or witch hazel 
3. Lavender Essential oil 20 drops 

The procedure is boil the flowers in distilled water , let the essence be absorbed ,take out the pan from the stove allow it to cool add essential oil and store it in a spraying bottle.If you opt for witch hazel, add the E.O's alone store it in a spray bottle.After cleansing face /after bath spray this mist on face allow it to air dry . The E.o amount should'nt be high ,you can reduce the amount but do not increase if you are not sure about your DIY quantity.E.o's are powerful as well as effective .

Lavender Disinfectant Recipe

• 1 Cup fresh or 1 and half cup dried lavender flowers
• Cheese cloth (For tying the flowers inside-making soaking flower bag )
• 10 drops of lavender essential oil

Pour the water in a pan and allow it to boil , in boiling water put the bag of flowers. Turn off the stove and allow it to cool cover the container after sometime remove the bag and pour the lavender water in a spraying bottle add the essential oil. You can use this for a month (keep it in fridge ). 

Lavender Linen Water

• 1½ ounces vodka
• 100 drops of lavender essential oil
• 2½ cups distilled water

Add oils and vodka to a spray bottle blend them in a bottle. Add distilled water ,Shake bottle again before using. Spray into your linen closet to refresh and scent sheets, pillowcases ,Cushion sheets,blankets, household linens.etc this can freshen the closet as well as protect it from small insects.Whenever you use essential oil prefer to use distilled water for making DIY's .You can add any refreshing E.O 's for making the linen recipe alternatively ,but lavender smells good.
